Wyoming native Kema Jamal began dancing at age four. At age fourteen she successfully auditioned with the Wyoming Wildcatters cheerleading squad . That year she also took home the title of Young Miss of America, at Universal studios, Hollywood. In 1990, she moved to San Diego, CA. and attended both San Diego State and Mira Costa college with Dance as her major.
